Adults Returning to School

Adults Returning to School was developed to meet the needs of adult students thinking about going back to school. It focuses on financial aid and educational opportunities in Kentucky and is kept up to date with the help of financial aid and admissions officers, financial aid program administrators, state officials and testing service representatives.

Higher education is a major investment of time, effort and money for you and your family. Adults Returning to School will provide the basic information you need to plan for your college education or vocational-technical training.

Adults Returning to School is divided into three parts — (I) Making the Decision, (II) Paying for College and (III) Kentucky Colleges.

Part I — Making the Decision

This section provides basic information that will help you decide whether to resume your education. It explains many of your options and can help you plan to meet your educational goals if you choose to return to school.

Part II — Paying for College

This section focuses on the cost of your higher education and how you'll pay for it. College may be one of the biggest investments you'll ever make. You should become familiar with the programs and process for paying for your schooling. Financial aid is available to help many students with college costs.

Part III — Kentucky Colleges

The following pages provide information concerning costs, admissions requirements, academic programs and student financial aid for Kentucky colleges. Information in Part III is subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, you should contact the school you plan to attend.
