Cohort Default Management Services

KHEAA understands the importance of keeping your default rates as low as possible.

We offer two levels of Cohort Default Management Services to help you better manage your rates.

Early Intervention

Targets students who have recently graduated, dropped to less than half-time status or have withdrawn before completing their degree.

For graduating students, we advise them on their options for successful repayment. For students who have withdrawn or dropped below half-time status, we counsel them on their options and encourage them to re-enroll to complete their degree.

Early financial counseling is provided to everyone to promote successful repayment and prevent delinquency and subsequent default.

Default Prevention

Designed to create flexible solutions, including contact with borrowers at various stages of delinquency. We reach out to students in various ways to educate them on their options for putting their student loan repayment back on track and divert them from default. There are several levels of service to choose from, depending on your needs.
